The corn sprouted in the fields along our driveway in early June, and I loved watching the lines of the rows stream past as I drove down the driveway. I set up to paint late one evening when the young springtime corn was a chromatic neon green and the shadows it cast across the dirt were deep red and violet. I love walking down the rows of corn, and I love painting them.
This is the original painting, an oil on canvas measuring 16 × 20" and will come framed.
