On an overcast day at Cave Point, the waves crashed against the limestone cliffs with a deep, rumbling sound that stayed with me long after I left. I wanted to capture not just the appearance of the place, but the feeling of being there. The cloudy sky, restless water, and pale rock became an arrangement of shapes and colors, an abstract interpretation of a landscape shaped by the movement and sound of the lake disappearing.
This is the original painting, an oil on canvas measuring 16 × 20" and will come framed.
