There's a farm on Highway G with a beautiful sunflower field that caught my eye in early August. I stopped, knocked on the door, and asked if I could paint it. The family was more than happy to let me, and after I finished painting their old Farmall tractor by the sunflowers, they even invited me to see their lovely perennial garden. it was one of those perfect summer painting days filled with warmth and generosity.
This is the original painting, an oil on canvas measuring 14 × 18" and will come framed.
