White House in Spring

This old neighborhood north of 8th Street in Baraboo comes alive in the springtime. The houses are ornamental in their own right, with so much character and history. This particular house was built by and old-time shopkeeper and is still in the family. I was drawn to the beautiful blooming trees on this afternoon, with their soft colors and springtime light. 

This is the original painting, an oil on canvas measuring 16 × 20" and will come framed.
