Would you believe I painted this while my daughter and wife were napping back at the cabin during our Door County vacation? It was also my wife's birthday. While painting, I met another couple from Madison who were celebrating a birthday as well. They were celebrating at Wilson's Ice Cream, the very place I was painting.
I love when little moments like this happen while I am out painting. They become part of the story of the painting and make the place feel even more special.
This is the original painting, an oil on canvas measuring 16 × 20" and will come framed.
