I picked some branches from a serviceberry tree in Baraboo and set them up to paint as a bouquet during a dramatic sunset. As the light changed, the still life gradually fell into shadow, so I moved the table it was sitting on and continued painting. I love these moments when I have to chase the light and adjust as the scene changes around me.
This is the original painting, an oil on canvas measuring 16 × 20" and will come framed.
